RICE REHABILITATION PROGRAM

The Local Government of Buenavista’s Munciipal Agriculture Office has implemented a rice rehabilitation project which aims to improve the soil conditions of rice areas in the municipality. Fifty farmers with a total of 50 hectares of rice lands located in Brgys. Nazaret, San Roque and Mclain shall benefit from the project. The farmers were each given 500.00 bags of fortified compost and 50 tons of agricultural lime to be applied to their respective farms at a ratio of 10 bags of organic fertilizer and 1.0 ton agricultural lime per hectare. Fortified compost from the rice hulls are being used to augment the rice lands.
